DO AS I SAY: Out Now in Australia & NZ
Let's Talk About Sects is an independent monthly podcast (for 8 months of the year) focusing on a different cult each episode. I take a storytelling, deep dive approach, looking at the history of a sect's leaders, the recruitment of members, their experiences, psychological aspects, and notable incidents during its existence.
The motivations behind the creation of the show are: to provide a platform for survivors to tell their stories; to destigmatise the victims of cults; and to demonstrate how easy it can be for people to fall under the spell of a leader who may eventually compromise their morals and ethics.
I hope that in sharing these stories we can bring recognition to victims' experiences, advocate for change, and help the public to recognise red flags so that they don't find themselves in similar situations.
